The Toy Project at 81 Junction Road recycles unwanted new and used toys and gives them to children who need them. Archway ZEN approached The Toy Project to see if we could help the charity reduce its emissions on a permanent basis having seen them borrow our cargo bike from Second Chance. The Toy Project received a ZEN grant of £1,000 which they are using to pay for toys to be collected and delivered by local couriers Pedivan Delivery.
The charity saves more than £140 per month and 30 hours of staff time per month. They no longer use their diesel van.
‘Pedivan has allowed us to plan carefully, save money and help the environment. It has changed the way we work for the better!’ Jane Garfield - Founder/Director The Toy Project.
The ZEN project has finished but a new project funded by Transport for London will help more businesses reduce their emissions by switching to Pedivan Delivery.
