Islington Council and the Archway Town Centre Group have been successful in applying for funding from Transport for London to develop a cargo centre in Archway. Delivery vans and collections are one of the main contributors to air pollution in Archway.
Islington Council and the Archway Town Centre Group are looking at minimising vehicle deliveries by providing extra storage facilities for local businesses. We will also encourage businesses to switch to zero emissions deliveries by providing a designated space for cargo bikes to park and charge up to carry out last mile deliveries.
Businesses who take part in the project could help reduce congestion and pollution in the area and could save money on deliveries both to and from their businesses.
We have designed a survey to help understand the current pattern of deliveries in the area and is an essential part of the project supported by Transport for London. It is hoped that with your insight we can develop an invaluable resource for local businesses. The survey takes about 7 minutes to complete. Thank you in advance for taking part.
