ARCHWAY POP UP
Archway residents, schools, community groups and businesses are invited to submit their ideas in a competition to design a temporary use of the area in front of Archway library.
The area is a paved, outdoor space of around 10 metres square and is currently empty apart from an old telephone box and a small amount of public seating.
The area is owned by BODE, a private property developer leading on the regeneration of the Hill House tower in Archway Town Centre and surrounding areas on the Hill House site.
BODE have agreed to make the space available pending the permanent development of this area and to fund and work with the winning entrant to bring their idea to life.
The competition will be run by a small group of volunteer local residents and judged by a panel including BODE, Archway Library and Islington Council.
Entries will be judged on how they:
• Improve the appearance of the area
• Involve local people, groups or businesses
• Use the space creatively and cost effectively
Ideas can be submitted in any format using words or pictures but should be accompanied by your name and contact details.
Please send questions and entries to Archwaypopupspace@gmail.com or post them in the ideas box in Archway Library.
