On Friday 22nd September we're celebrating World Car Free Day with a cycle pop up event in Archway and a leisurely lunchtime bike ride for local businesses, workers and residents.
The cycle pop up will run from 8am -2pm on the new public space at Archway. There will be free advice and information from Islington's cycling team and free freshly made coffee from Blackbox Coffee's bike bar. The Dr Bike maintence team will be offering free bike checks and small repairs and if you are cycling to work through Archway that morning then pop by for your free biker's breakfast snack (8-9am).
At lunchtime we'll also be running a leisurely 35 minute led cycle ride through Archway and the surrounding area. Thinking about cycling to work? Want to fit some exercise into your working day? Just fancy getting outdoors over your lunch break? The Archway lunchtime ride will be led by expert cycle guides, following a leisurely route around the local area with marshals at key junctions. Anyone can join, whether you’re a regular cyclist or you haven’t got on your bike in years and want to try cycling in the safety of a group. Book your place on the ride by emailing the Archway ZEN team or book online at https://tinyurl.com/zenride.
