The future of the former UCL Archway campus, situated at the bottom of Highgate Hill and Archway Road, is now under discussion. At the end of last year the site, previously occupied by University College London and Middlesex University, was vacated and sold to Peabody, the housing trust. Peabody has announced that it is to redevelop the site "into a residential lead mixed-use development with a mixture of different tenures, including social rent, shared ownership and outright sale".
The trust is currently at a very early stage of developing its ideas and wants to hear what local people think about the site and what it can contribute to the local area. There is an introductory exhibition/public consultation event on Friday, 6 February and Saturday, 7 February. Members of the project team will be present to answer any questions you may have.
Note that the exhibition is not on the site of the development but in the Whittington Hospital's Education Centre. The exhibition/consultation opening hours are:
Friday 6th February 15:30 - 19:30
Saturday 7th February 10:00 - 14:00.
