What is a Low Emission Neighbourhood?

A low emission neighbourhood (LEN) is an area-based scheme focussed on improving air quality and promoting sustainable living through a package of interventions. The LEN in Archway is led by the aims of the Archway Town Centre Group.

How are we creating Low Emission Neighbourhoods?

We can achieve this in many ways, such as

  • Promoting the use of Electric vehicles
  • Coordinated deliveries
  • Improved urban realm
  • Greening and parklets
  • No idling zones
  • E-bike schemes
  • Wayfinding
  • Increased cycle parking
